Indonesian Slang Word For Hyperbole

Hyperbole.
A word which has special place in Indonesian literature. It is one of Indonesian figure of speech called “majas hiperbola”. There is one word in Indonesia that slanged hyperbole, it’s called “lebay”. 

Lebay used when someone told a story that exaggerate the ideas. Once someone has told it, the interlocutors will shout like “ah, lebay!” 

That’s how we do it. 🙂
